UPS, the official logistics partner for Expo 2020 Dubai, will enhance its fleet of on-site vehicles during the event with a range of electric bikes.
Where it is scheduled to rely on a group of Fernhai electric four-wheel drive bikes, which it developed, after its arrival last April at Dubai International Airport, along with the Tricycles from the Rightel model, to be used in exhibition and training operations and to meet the logistical needs of the participating countries and visitors during the Expo 2020 event, which It lasts for six months.
Alan Williams, Vice President of the company, said that the new vehicles rely on sustainable delivery solutions that improve air quality, reduce congestion and reduce carbon emissions, in a move that is closely aligned with the UAE's circular economy policy 2021-2031 and the UAE's Green Agenda 2030.
Alan added, We hope to continue to define the most sustainable, productive and robust operations in the logistics division through Expo 2020 in Dubai and beyond.
On the other hand, these electric bikes are the ideal solution for commuting in highly congested areas, and will allow trained bikers access to five customer service points, as well as national pavilions and warehouses equipped on site to deliver packages, documents and merchandise for stock replenishment purposes.
The electric bike models, modified in collaboration with Fernhay and Writel, are specifically designed to improve the efficiency and ergonomics of vehicle drivers, as well as increase speed and flexibility in the workplace.
